VANITIES by Jack Heifner

A St Mary's University of Minnesota production by Jack Heifner, directed by Dr. Gary Diomandes

VANITIES is a bittersweet comedy about the friendship among three small town girls coming of age in 60s and 70s America. The young Joanne, Kathy and Mary are starry eyed cheerleaders but with the Vietnam War and the women's movement at their height, it's not an easy time to be growing up in America. Over the course of 10 years, these women mature into disillusioned adults, too self-absorbed to see the world changing around them.
