home:scape international theatre project

Tara Arts (London) with Teatr Novogo Fronta (Prague) and Pro-Progressione (Budapest) is developing an extraordinary multi-media theatre performance for London 2012 inspired by research interviews with people living across three of Europe’s most exciting capital cities.

Last week in London we brought together a company of Tara Arts' actors with Czech director and Dutch dramaturg to workshop ideas inspired by the local stories.

After three terrifically energizing days the team at Tara Arts took a look at what had been developed out of the intensive workshop sessions so far, what was revealed was the evolutionary process of distilling over 15 hours of diverse interviews into a physical snapshot of what is to come.

A fabulous mix of wit and hi-octane action provided us with a glimpse into the imaginative world home:scape is evoking.

This unique international theatre project is shaping up into something extremely fascinating, and I'm very much looking forward to the next steps in seeing the show come together for summer London 2012.

Over the coming months the script, cast and company will come together to realise the final full production which receives its world premiere at Tara Theatre in south London from 1st to 4th August.
